About this deal

I’d love to try out some of the LocalBytes ones when they’re available, in the meantime I think I’ll have to try out a SmartThings one. Adding a Hue routine allows you to choose any light/device (via a room), irrespective of whether it’s a smart bulb or smart plug.

I am only using them as a temporary solution, but after a bit of frustration I was able to add 12 Sonoff S31s to HA without flashing. I did a pull-the-plug test on my internet and they still function without talking to the mother ship. No isses since I got it about a year ago. I only have 1 outdoor plug so for christmas its gets put in front of house to control christmas lights. If you want to build a truly automated smart home then smart plugs are a must, and we’ve put the latest to test to find out which ones are truly worth buying.

Or to put it another way: you can turn your dumb lights into smart lights (kinda), but at a lower cost compared to buying all-Hue bulbs! Noice. What You Need For Smart Plugs To Support Hue This Smart Zigbee Plug offers both wireless and a manual control switch, so you can control from anywhere. Rehentele 16A Energy Monitoring Plug (OEM version of Tuya TS0121) → https://github.com/zigpy/zha-device-handlers/issues/605

The smart Plug is very easy to set up and ideal for both living and workspaces. When you’ve finished your day at the office, simply switch all electrical items off and leave knowing your space is safe.
