It’s a telephone seat table, with the surface on which the phone would have originally stood modified to be padded. The original might have looked something like this (although the telephone stand is lower)…Mum and I remain very close – and I believe those fun spankings have a lot to do with the strength of our relationship. In fact, as I was typing this story, she called me – it’s almost like she knew what I was up to! Note an early appearance here for one of the spanking mother’s most favoured implements, the good old slipper – although given the fact she is fully shod suggests maybe this has been borrowed from father?
