About this deal

Your problem is you can't deal with the truth and have a problem when people tell you something you dislike. Its constantly boggling in your mind. How to get this thread going. You want to be the smartass that thinks he is better than any other person. You just can't handle it. The cameras are built to robust standards for in-field use, with magnesium alloy die-cast front and rear frames and a splash- and dust-resistant 1 construction. For video, I tend to shoot mostly within the Like709 color profile, as that gives me a consistent look in terms of contrast and colour in most shooting scenarios. But another great feature of the S5II and S5IIX is the ability to load LUTs into the camera and actually record your videos and photos with your own specific look. RealTime LUT can be a decent time saver for some people, especially those who shoot in their own environment with the same lighting setup and just want their finished look captured in camera. You can also preview LUTs, with V-log view assist, so you can capture your content flat, while previewing what it will look like with your look-up table of choice.

I don't have a bunch of cameras, I have the ones that fit my needs. If I want 4k 60p/120p without crop, that's currently not possible with Panasonic, if I want run & gun or scenic without annoying gimbal, I don't want Sony and so on. I for one just sold my Fuji x100v and was on the fence buying a XH2 with 33mm 1.4 (for Hybrid shooting).Panasonic hasn’t made any changes to the screen on the Lumix S5IIX in companion with the S5 or S5II, it has a 3-inch 1,840,000-dot vari-angle touchscreen. The vari-angle joint enables the screen to be flipped out to the side of the camera and angled up or down, or rotated to face forwards for vlogging and presenting to the camera. The fan means the S5 II can record for unlimited periods in most of its video modes, as tested by Panasonic at temperatures of 40°C (104°F). Panasonic points out that most of its rivals only quote figures for 22–25°C (72–77°F), which is significantly less demanding and less representative of average temperatures across much of the US. LUMIX S5IIX Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera DC-S5M2X - Panasonic

whos buying it sony user? not a chance. theyre already invested. canon, nope again. nikon, why? obviously more pana shooters. but thats about it. The differences between the Lumix S5 II and S5 IIX amount to much more than a fancy paint job. Although they are quite technical and deep, the S5 IIX’s advantages will be highly significant for serious and professional filmmakers, and will probably make the price difference look very modest by comparison. More and more I read in comments that a photo centric camera needs to have more than 24 MP, such as S1R or better A7Riv/v.

Given that Best Buy is populated by commission-driven sales people who will lie to your face without compunction if it means they might make a sale, their "support" isn't so much non-existent as it is net negative for customers. If you don't mind using a tripod and you're shooting static subjects then Panasonic's pixel shift mode can deliver images up there with medium format. In fact, the motion correction is pretty decent.
