About this deal

This book looks at multi generation female relationships and familial ties as well as what bonds and binds mothers and daughters. Told from different points of view, this book is measured as it builds on all the past and present frustrations that all the characters have. It shows how complicated and complex any relationship can be, but also how wonderful and uplifting even in the darkest moments that the maternal bond gives you. Another classic from Ruth Jones. She has this ability to make you believe you are living the life of all the characters. The good and the bad. The flawed the messed up parts alongside the highs. Taking some time to get into ending up my favourite of the three I have read by the end. The sad beautiful tragic ending.

All families have their problems. And most of them get resolved. But Grace's problem is thirty years old. And she doesn't have time on her side.Full of such warmth and kindness, and the writing is utterly beautiful. I adored it - Joanna Cannon

Callum has been married to Belinda for several years and they have been blessed with two children and are expecting another. Everything has been going so well and the affair Callum has two decades ago with Kate the aspiring actress seems to have been forgotten. And when she finds her - if she does - she risks betraying granddaughter Elin. Who is far less forgiving of the past, with its hurts and secrets and lies. Meanwhile Grace's great -grand-daughter Beca is oblivious to all these worries, too busy navigating the highs and lows of teenage life and keeping secrets of her own. This is a story about mothers and daughters: the love inherent in that bond and the heartache that miscommunication can bring. More than anything, it's about the importance of being true to oneself. Meet Grace, Alys, Elin and Beca - a family you'll come to know, and to love. The end of this story is incredibly moving and brought me to tears (and I have never cried over a book before). Ruth Jones draws you in and tugs on the heartstrings in a beautiful way Love Untold is about mothers and daughters and the complex bond between them. It's about the heartache that comes from leaving things unsaid and the power of true forgiveness. It is a joy-filled, life-affirming, sob-inducing novel - with characters you'll come to know and love from no.1 bestselling author Ruth Jones.

As for Catrin she gets her heart broken by a local man and it is not over yet. Still, Catrin remains the great glue that keeps them all together in this well-crafted story. Grace is eighty-nine, she’s proud and independent and enjoys an early morning swim in the sea, no matter what the weather.I know you’ve mentioned your mother but have you drawn from any other personal experiences in the book?
