About this deal
The cables are thin and soft, never once feeling annoying nor weighing down on the earbuds. They are unfortunately, not detachable cannot be replaced if it spoils. The only way to replace it is by soldering. The overall sound output is slightly U shaped with excellent bass extension and smooth yet detailed treble. The mids are placed forward with nice engaging vocals. They are quite energetic in sound output. There is a slight hint of sibilance which is like genre specific especially female vocals but not troublesome or fatiguing. In fact this is one of the best non fatiguing earphones I have tested. The treble is smooth but has a slight peak adding to the fun signature of the IEM. For some people it might sound sibilant, but for me with Cayin N6ii with A01 which is a warm source I didn’t notice the sibilance.
The KBear’s budget IEM, the KS1 showed its ability to sound good while being on a tight budget. One “unique” thing about this is this IEM offers a non-fatiguing sound while keeping things clear, fun, and free from any muffled, bloated sound when we’re talking at this price point. I can even say that this is better than the Blon BL03, not only because of the sound, but also in the fit department. This KBear KS1 will be one of my top recommendations for those people who just wants an all-rounder, clear, warm sound on a budget that also does not want any peaks or harshness on their listening experience.Good quality treble here , nothing too sparkly or harsh, its very safe and well mannered sounding with a fair amount of details.
Night torch – Denzel Moiz -for the excellent violin (correct me on this instrument please) play at start, I just love that part and then the slow dub step /EDM – I really wasn’t expecting this but it was really great on EDM—a relaxing and engaging type though!! But don’t get me wrong it was NOT slow , it was fast and accurate with the beats !! It was not congested either. The instruments notes had enough timbre to make it feel natural but the energy seemed a bit less ALWAYS. Details Too often only average due to the inherently good trebles detail retrieval being covered by the lower half of the presentation. This is also the same for SPiCYSOL's "Mellow Yellow", mostly hearing it but it does not go low. It also tends to be drowned out by the rest of the instruments and vocals when it gets into the chorus. Neon is the first mid-focused iem of KBEAR. With a unique look, some people say it's like a bullet while others may think it looks like a perfume. What do you think of it?
